Charleson Joins The Power

East Point's Lachlan Charleson became the latest Ballarat Junior prospect to join the AFL following his selection by the Port Adelaide Football Club with Pick 52 at last night's AFL National Draft.

The lively small forward impressed during his draft year at the Greater Western Victoria Rebels kicking 24 goals for the season, including a haul of eight late in the campaign.

Charleson was also a member of Victoria Country’s National Championship squad.

Having made his senior debut at age 16 for East Point in 2021, Charleson's game is known for its immense defensive pressure, speed and ground ball ability.

The BFNL wishes Lachie all the best in the next stage of his footballing journey, we cannot wait to continue our support from the sidelines during his career.
