The McDonald’s Ballarat FNL is excited to announce the release of the 2025 Junior Fixture for the upcoming season.
The 2025 season will feature a 16-round competition, kicking off with the North Ballarat and East Point clash on Saturday, 5th of April, as part of the annual Pink Round dual gate. All other Clubs will begin their season on Sunday, 13th of April, with Wellness Round, dedicated to raising awareness for a cause chosen by each Club.
This year’s fixture has been structured into multiple components to accommodate our expanding competitions. The first fixture release is the BFNL Standard Junior Fixture, which will include the following competitions:
- Football – Under 10 Reserves and Seniors, Under 12 Seniors and Under 14 Reserves
- Netball – Under 11 Reserves and Seniors, Under 13 Reserves and Seniors and Under 15 Reserves
Modified fixtures will be provided to Clubs for the following competitions:
- Football – Under 12 Reserves, Under 14 Seniors, Under 16 Reserves and Seniors
- Netball – Under 15 Seniors, Under 17 Reserves and Seniors
There’s plenty to look forward to throughout the 2025 season.
The popular Western Bulldogs Under 8 and Under 9 Netball competitions will again take place on Friday nights, with season details to be released in the coming weeks.
Several dual gates feature early in the 2025 fixture, with the return of the Anzac Day feature between Lake Wendouree and Ballarat White.
The BFNL junior interleague sides hit the road to Bendigo on July 5th, continuing the tradition for the Goldfields Trophy. The Under 17 Boys will play a curtain raiser to the Under 23 Men against Hampden FNL on home soil for the Clinton Baulch Cup.
Meanwhile, our BFNL Netballers will compete in the annual Association Championships in Warrnambool on Sunday 1st of June.
Indigenous Round will take place in line with AFL during Rounds 5 & 6, with Ronald McDonald Charity House Round set to round out the themed rounds on Sunday 3rd of August.
