The McDonald's Ballarat FNL wishes to provide the following update regarding the 2025 Reserves Finals series.
On Monday 1 September, the Ballarat Football Netball League (BFNL) received a complaint regarding the eligibility of players in the North Ballarat Football Netball Club’s Reserves team during the Elimination Final on Sunday 31 August.
Following an investigation and review of submissions, the BFNL Board has determined that North
Ballarat FNC is in breach of BFNL Football Bylaws 46.1.7 and 6.2 and, subsequently, Section 1.1 of
the AFL Vic Country Rules.
In accordance with Section 1.1(a) of the AFL Vic Country Rules, the North Ballarat FNC Reserves team have had their match points reversed and all points for that game lost, thereby forfeiting their place in the 2025 BFNL finals series.
As per Section 1 of the AFL Vic Country Rules, North Ballarat FNC has the right to appeal this decision to AFL Goldfields.
